Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Sphere is currently offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a long-standing regional contractor, offering a dedicated training programme, giving you the tools and experience to accelerate your commercial career.

With a diverse client base, you will be exposed to both refurbishment and new build projects, covering commercial, education, and public sector projects.

Shadowing and supported by a senior commercial team member you will be involved in all aspects of project delivery from project award to tender Handover:

Key responsibilities:

* Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents.

* Conducting cost analysis and preparing estimates.

* Assisting in the valuation of completed work and arranging payments.

* Monitoring and managing project costs.

* Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

* Assisting in the procurement of materials and subcontractors

* Assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

* Supporting the Quantity Surveyor in managing variations and claims.

* Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry regulations.

To be considered for this role:

* You will have relevant experience in a similar role as an Assistant QS or a Graduate QS looking to take the next step in your surveying career.

* Hold a degree in a Construction-related subject, Quantity Surveying will be advantageous.

* Good IT skills will be expected in particular Excel.

* Be passionate and motivated

* A full UK driving license as regular site visits will be expected.
