Job Title: Learning and Care Support Assistant
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (3–5 days a week)
We’re looking for dedicated Learning and Care Support Assistants with a background in personal care and/or support work, particularly those experienced in working with individuals with complex disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting their learning and personal development in a further education setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Personalised Support: Provide one-to-one and group support to students with complex needs, including personal care and mobility assistance where required.
- Collaborative Working: Work closely with lecturers, therapists, and SENCOs to implement tailored support strategies and ensure a consistent approach across the learning environment.
- Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Learning Assistance: Support students in accessing learning materials and participating in classroom activities, adapting resources as needed.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe and record student progress, communicating effectively with teaching staff and contributing to support reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Experience supporting students or young adults in educational or care settings.
- A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding.
- Minimum of GCSE A–C / Level 2 in English and Maths.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Empathetic, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learners with complex needs.
