We are currently seeking a SEN Hub Teacher to join our Primary school based in Smethwick.

The successful applicant will be teaching groups of students that have a diagnosis of Autism (ASD) and SLCN (Speech, language and Communication needs).

This role is full time with the idea to begin from September BUT if you have earlier availability this is a bonus!

As a SEN Hub Teacher your responsibilities will include:

* Create and present tailored learning plans to suit and meet the needs of students with additional needs

* Provide targeted support to develop students social, emotional and academic skills

* Lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance student outcomes.

* Regularly assess students' progress and develop teaching strategies accordingly to benefit this

* Maintain accurate records of students' progress and effectively communicate this with parents and staff

* Implement and review Educational, Health and Care plans (EHCP's)

* Enforce strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively

Requirements:

* QTS (Essential)

* An enhanced DBS certificate that is registered to the update service (Desirable but we can support with this)

* Proven experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with complex needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)

* Experience with Non-verbal, Pre-verbal, Makaton and PECS (Desirable)
