Interim Area Manager - Defence Estate (Maximo CAFM)

Liverpool (3 days on-site) + Remote (2 days WFH)

Day Rate- £350 - £450 per day

Contract - Interim - Full-time, 5 days per week

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Area Manager with strong knowledge of Maximo CAFM systems and a proven track record in managing Defence Estate operations. This is a key leadership role overseeing maintenance and estate management activities, ensuring contractual and statutory compliance across a complex, high-security site.

Working 3 days per week on-site at Altcar and 2 days remotely, you will coordinate operational delivery, manage contractor performance, and act as the primary point of contact for technical and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day estate management activities across the Defence Estate portfolio.

Manage planned and reactive maintenance through Maximo CAFM, ensuring data accuracy and work order compliance.

Lead and coordinate contractors, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.

Monitor and report on KPIs, SLAs, and compliance documentation.

*

Support and advise stakeholders on technical and operational matters.

*

Drive continuous improvement in asset performance and estate services delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience in a management role within the Defence Estate or a similar secure environment.

*

Proficiency in IBM Maximo CAFM or similar facilities management software.

*

Strong technical background in estates, maintenance, or facilities engineering.

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and contractor management skills.

*

Knowledge of statutory compliance and H&S regulations within estates/facilities management.
