Deputy Care Manager – Supported Living | £29,000 | 40 Hours Per Week

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Care Manager to join a progressive and person-centred supported living service that supports adults with complex needs, autism, and learning disabilities. This is a rewarding role that combines leadership, clinical input, and strategic support to help individuals live independently and thrive.

 

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a mix of clinical and supernumerary hours, offering the chance to be both hands-on in care delivery and influential in service development.

 

The role will involve travel across multiple supported living settings in Staffordshire, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (minimum requirement)
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, ideally in supported living or complex care settings
  • Strong understanding of autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs
  • Ability to lead and motivate care teams across multiple locations
  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion, empowerment, and best practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations across multiple services
  • Lead, mentor and support staff teams to ensure high-quality, person-centred care
  • Assist with the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
  • Monitor compliance and quality standards in line with CQC and internal policies
  • Support with recruitment, training, and staff development
  • Work in partnership with families, health professionals and other stakeholders
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity for the individuals supported
  • Participate in a rota that includes a balance of clinical and office-based hours
