A Welfare Assistant is needed in a 'Good' Non-Denomination Secondary School & Sixth Form in West London.

This Welfare Assistant role will be full time and permanent.

Working hours for this Welfare Assistant position will be 08:15 to 16:00.

If appointed as a Welfare Assistant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Administration of first aid/medical care
  • Contribute to the school's ethos
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the school's community in relation to medical related matters.

You must have a formal/official First Aid Qualification, experience of working in a medical environment and good IT skills in order to be considered for this Welfare Assistant post.

The salaries for this Welfare Assistant role will be between £29583 to £31440 pro rata, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

In the most recent inspection, the school was rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

It is one of the oldest schools in the area, tracing its history back to 1630.

From Year 7 to 11, the school has an intake for boys only with girls being admitted to school's Sixth Form.

The Sixth Form is part of a consortium with other Secondary schools in the borough.

The main school site is located near a famous country estate.

In 2003, the school gained Sports College status and in 2005 was named Sports College of the Year in the UK.

Several professional athletes, sportsman and MPs have been former pupils.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a qualified Nurse or experienced Welfare Assistant.

You are also encouraged to apply if you are a British trained Welfare Assistant or overseas trained Welfare Assistant.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Welfare Assistant:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of working as a Welfare Assistant in UK schools
  • Formal/official First Aid Qualification or an overseas equivalent
