Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE + Gratuities

The property is an independently owned 4 star nestled in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The ownership are experienced Hospitality people who are committed to looking after and developing their teams. Well established in the region, the property offers an excellent fine dining Restaurant which attracts both resident and non-resident guests. In addition to this, the hotel boasts top class Event facilities which can cater for up to 600 guests.

 

Your New Job

As Senior Sous Chef you will assist the Executive Head Chef with the running and management of the kitchen operation, taking full responsibility for the operation whenever the Executive Head Chef is out of the business. You will be responsible for leading the brigade during Restaurant service and during delivery of Weddings and other functions. Kitchen management will also be a key part of the role, with responsibility to ensure financial key performance indicators are met and that all Food Safety and Hygiene / Health and Safety best practises are adhered to, as the Senior Sous Chef is very much an integral part of the management team here.

 

You're Experience and Our requirements

You will have 2 years' experience in a similar position within a comparable operation

You will be passionate about ingredients, provenance and consistently delivering great plates of food

You will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate, inspire and coach

Experience within Michelin / Rosetted kitchens is beneficial

You will have good understanding of commerciality, be able to maximise revenues and manage costs efficiently

Ability to display full understanding of all Food Safety and Hygiene / Health and Safety best practices
