GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading Automotive / Specialist Vehicle (High Capital Products) manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced Concept Designer (3D AutoCAD) who has had exposure to Siemens NX or SolidWorks ideally.

You will be an innovative & creative Concept/ NPD Design Professional with strong experience of working within complexed builds, engineering & manufacturing.

Concept Designer Duties:

* Delivering multiple upcoming new products (NPD / NPI) & modern facelift projects.

* Define & deliver conceptual internal, external, outfitting components & mouldings.

* Accurately produce 3D surfaces required for the release of CNC mould tooling data.

* Clearly understand materials, plus professional regulated design standards.

* An understanding of automotive systems & assembly build methods

* Working on multiple design projects within the early Concept development phase.

* Liaise with the Production team & other key departments within the business.

* Ensure that the concept product complies with all relevant Codes & Classifications.

Designer Attributes:

* A Designer from Automotive, Specialist Vehicles, Plant Machinery or similar (ideal).

* Strong Concept Design, NPD & NPI skills required within DFM.

* Ability to work on a vast variety of design commodities.

* Knowledge of 3D CAD software - Siemens NX preferable, or a similar 3D CAD package like SolidWorks or others.

* An understanding of a PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter used).

The client will accept applications from those at a medium level (3 years+) & also from graduates with work experience or 1-2 years' experience. (Portfolio examples of work would be helpful for this role).
