We're hiring a Bespoke (BIAB) Design Engineer for one of the UK's most established manufacturers. You'll lead the design of one-off truck builds - from catering fit-outs and custom interiors to chassis modifications and integrated electrical/gas systems.

🚀 What You'll Be Doing:

*

Turn client concepts into detailed 2D/3D designs

*

Liaise with Sales, Distributors and Customers to refine and deliver bespoke solutions

*

Specify 12V, 230V, and LPG systems to current standards

*

Build BOMs, estimate costs, and ensure designs are right first time

*

Produce high-quality manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks

🛠️ What You'll Bring:

SolidWorks 3D CAD and engineering drawing expertise

*

Creative thinking with a practical, hands-on approach

*

Excellent communication and customer liaison skills

*

Strong attention to detail and documentation

*

An understanding of assemblies, furniture design, and light electrical/gas installations

🎓 Requirements:

*

5 GCSEs including English & Maths (Grade B or above)

*

Proven experience in SolidWorks (to be demonstrated at interview)

*

Experience in the creation of BOMs and drawings for manufacture
