Finance Manager - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established, West Yorkshire-based organisation to recruit a Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role will support the Senior Finance Business Partner and play a key role in month-end reporting, forecasting, and providing commercial insight. There is also a strong focus on project support, financial modelling, and business partnering across the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate month-end reporting, including management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary

  • Partner with budget holders and divisional teams to understand performance, challenge assumptions, and communicate financial impacts

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and latest-view cycles, including updating forecast models and ensuring timely submission of financial information

  • Build financial models to support projects, business cases, and strategic decisions, including tracking risks, opportunities, and success metrics

  • Provide insight and scenario analysis to senior stakeholders, ensuring recommendations are clear and actionable

  • Take ownership of project accounting tasks where required, providing guidance and analysis to support decision-making

  • Maintain strong financial controls and contribute to compliance and audit processes

  • Support and mentor junior finance colleagues, deputising for the Senior Finance Business Partner when necessary

  • Prepare packs and reports for budget holder review meetings and wider divisional finance discussions

About You

  • Qualified or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience

  • Strong experience in a management accounting or finance business partnering role

  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly

  • Commercially aware with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Experience within a retail or consumer-focused environment is beneficial

  • Able to commute to Bradford on a hybrid basis
