The Role

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and dedicated Caretaker to support the site team in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of the school each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the premises team with day-to-day caretaking duties
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety across the site
  • Opening/closing areas as required
  • Basic repairs and general maintenance
  • Ensuring outdoor spaces and facilities are tidy and safe
  • Assisting with deliveries, furniture setup, and movement of equipment
  • Responding to urgent maintenance issues or site needs
  • Upholding safeguarding and security procedures at all times

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in caretaking, facilities, maintenance or a similar role
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Supportive of the school’s inclusive ethos
  • Comfortable working in a special needs' environment
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
