About the Role:

We are seeking a commercially driven Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering works under a long-term MOD framework based in Staffordshire. Working within a dedicated commercial team of 4, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of various defence infrastructure and refurbishment projects within a secure and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial and contractual elements of projects within the MOD framework

Support the Senior QS and work collaboratively within a team of four commercial professionals

Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Handle subcontract procurement, contract administration, and commercial reporting

Prepare applications for payment, assess variations, and manage final accounts

Maintain compliance with NEC (or JCT) contract requirements

Provide clear and accurate commercial reports and updates to internal and client stakeholders

Identify risks, support value engineering, and ensure strong cost control throughout project lifecycle

Adhere to MOD standards and security protocols

Requirements:

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC/HND with strong experience considered)

Minimum 4 years' experience in a QS role with a main contractor

Experience on frameworks or within secure/government environments (MOD, DIO, nuclear, healthcare) is highly desirable

Good knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract forms

Strong commercial and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

Competent in commercial management software such as COINS, Excel, etc.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Full UK driving licence

Eligible for SC (Security Clearance) - existing clearance is beneficial
