KS2 Learning Support Assistant - EAL Support (Year 4)

Are you passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with English as an Additional Language? Milk Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and community-focused primary school in the L8 area to recruit a KS2 Learning Support Assistant to work within a Year 4 class with a high number of EAL learners.

This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, perfect for someone who is confident supporting language development and KS2 learning.

About the role:

Supporting a Year 4 class with a high number of EAL pupils

Assisting with language acquisition, vocabulary building, and classroom understanding

Leading small group interventions to boost English and reading skills

Helping to create an inclusive, language-rich environment

Working closely with the class teacher and EAL lead

Encouraging confidence, participation, and progress in all subject areas

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting EAL learners in a primary school setting

Good understanding of KS2 curriculum, especially literacy and vocabulary development

Clear, confident communication and strong modelling of spoken and written English

A nurturing and inclusive approach to support children from diverse backgrounds

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
