Altum Consulting are working with a small but fast-growing media production company to recruit a Sole Finance Manager/Bookkeeper. This role will be based in North-West London and will be 5 days a week in the office. Candidates must be on a short notice period.
Bookkeeper role:
- Solely responsible for the end-to-end finance of the entity
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for the company
- Posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable invoices
- Preparing and posting journals including accruals and prepayments
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and credit card transactions
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with tax filings
- Administering the monthly payroll process, including pension submissions
- Producing monthly profit and loss reports and balance sheets
- Preparing job cost reports and calculating growth margin
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Providing analysis to Directors to support business decisions
For this Bookkeeper role you'll be/have:
- Qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
- Experience in a Bookkeeper/Finance Manager role in a small company
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
