Account Manager – Independent Toy & Family Retail (UK)
Location: Pangbourne, Berkshire
Reports to: Managing Director
Role Purpose
Grow Thames Distribution’s independent retail channel (toy, gift & family retailers) across the UK by winning new accounts and expanding existing ones.
Key Objectives
• Increase active independent customers
• Boost SKU penetration and multi-brand sales per account
• Build repeat trading relationships
• Deliver profitable growth
Main Responsibilities
• Manage and grow a portfolio of independent accounts
• Prospect and onboard new retailers (toy stores, gift shops, garden centres, museum shops, etc.)
• Drive upsell/cross-sell and category partnerships
• Work with brands on promotions and launches
• Maintain CRM, pipeline, and regular customer contact
Requirements
• Sales/account management experience in distribution, retail or consumer goods
• Independent retail or wholesale experience desirable
• Strong commercial awareness and CRM skills
• Self-starter who works independently
