Drivers will be asked to work from 6.00 pm and the main duty will be to pick up and move shipping containers to areas on the port where they will be picked up by the road freight teams and delivered to the customers anywhere in the UK.
Before starting drivers will need to pass a driving assessment and then complete an induction process on the docks.
Drivers must have a DP World card and a valid CPC and DIGI card. Previous container movement experience is needed as is experience of driving class 1 lorries.
The movement of containers is do with the use of Tugs attached to class 1 trailers.
Clear and confident communication skills together with good numeracy and literacy skills are needed. The minimum age is 25. Experience is 2 years.
There is a 10 hour minimum shift and overtime is available at weekends and bank holidays.
