Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer - SC Cleared

* Contract - 6+ Months

* Day Rate: £(Apply online only)/day INSIDE IR35

* Location: Gloucester - Fully remote

In this role, you will be responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications using SCCM and Intune, ensuring secure, efficient, and standardised delivery across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities

* Package applications using AdminStudio, InstallShield, and PowerShell

* Maintain consistent naming conventions and package standards

* Migrate legacy applications to MSIX or Intune-based deployment

* Deploy and troubleshoot applications via SCCM and Intune

* Manage deployment infrastructure, including collections, boundaries, and distribution points

* Work across pre-production and production environments for smooth rollouts

* Document processes and share knowledge with team members

* Participate in change management activities, including CAB meetings

* Provide 2nd/3rd line incident resolution and root cause analysis reports

* Collaborate with deployment teams to drive continuous improvement

* Offer on-call and out-of-hours support as required (rota basis)

* Travel within the UK when necessary

Essential Skills & Experience

* UK SC Clearance - must be active

* Proven experience in application packaging (MSI, App-V, Intune)

* Strong knowledge of SCCM (Current Branch)

* Scripting skills: PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch

* Experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Group Policy

* Familiarity with Intune, Autopilot, and Conditional Access

Desirable Skills

* Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MD-102)

* ITIL Foundation

* Experience in enterprise or regulated environments

* Agile/DevOps working knowledge

* Cloud solution deployment experience
