Leaders in Care is looking to recruit an Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse in Worcester, for the UK's Leading Eye Care specialist, and the role offers a salary of circa £35,000 - £40,000 (negotiable dependent on experience). We are also happy to hear from Registered Nurses with an interest in working in Theatres, as Scrub training can be provided.

You'll be working within a state-of-the-art clinic, utilising modern technologies to support surgeons and the wider Healthcare team in delivering various eye care procedures in theatre. You will also help ensure that all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the hospital.
Work life balance shifts of 4 days a week are offered working 7.30 am - 5.30 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays worked and no nights.

The Ophthalmic RN will play a key role in ensuring the best possible person-centred care is delivered. You'll primarily undertake pre and post-operative observations and assist with specialist procedures in the theatre room.
To apply for this Scrub Nurse position, you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) / ODP Practitioner with current NMC PIN or HCPC Registration. It would also be beneficial if you had scrub experience in any discipline, preferably Ophthalmic (not essential). 
Additional Requirements include:
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
At least 2 years nursing experience post registration, within a hospital, community, or clinic setting.
Passion for high-quality patient-centred care
Quick thinking with the ability to solve problems under pressureResponsibilities:
 
Provide assistance for clinical procedures.
Assist the consultant and clinical team in the delivery of all ophthalmic care.
Manage all the theatre equipment daily.
Admission and discharge of patients on theatre days.
Adhere to the principles of clinical governance and NMC or HCPC guidelines.
