The Department of Chemistry at the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. The primary focus will be Inorganic and Materials/Biomaterials Chemistry. The successful candidate should be an expert in the use of cutting-edge characterization techniques, such as electron microscopy, magnetic measurements, solid-state NMR, ESR, or Mossbauer spectroscopies, etc. It is expected that the new hire will enhance existing strengths in the research portfolio of the Chemistry Department (https://#removed#/chemistry/), and provide exceptional opportunities for collaborations in Chemistry, the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at UAlbany.

Job Requirements:

Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, and strong productivity. At the Assistant Professor level, preferred candidates will have completed postdoctoral training and show promise as independent externally-funded investigators.

Applicants must address their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.
