Are you calm under pressure and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? A secondary school in Brecon is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team, supporting students with challenging behaviour in a structured, nurturing environment.

The Role:

✅ Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis in a behaviour-focused provision
✅ Help students regulate emotions, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive coping strategies
✅ Act as a consistent, trusted role model to promote behaviour improvement
✅ Deliver structured interventions and assist with daily routines
✅ Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to maintain a calm and safe learning environment

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, sports coaching, care, or similar)
A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting pupil development
Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly and constructively
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
EWC registration (we can support you with this)
