Location: Stockport / Hybrid

Role Purpose

  • Provide paraplanning support to advisers in the preparation of financial solutions for clients.
  • Analyse, monitor, and report on pensions and investment portfolios, including drawdown and existing policy analysis.
  • Ensure all work meets internal standards, compliance requirements, and FCA regulations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company and collaborate with the wider team to maintain excellence in client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support advisers in client sales and advisory work, including assessing client needs and conducting product research.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports, letters, and supporting materials.
  • Analyse existing client portfolios using company analytical models and asset allocation frameworks.
  • Produce product research reports and assist advisers with portfolio recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Client Relations Team to provide technical and compliance guidance.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, workshops, and technical training.
  • Assist the Compliance Director with ad-hoc compliance support tasks.
  • Cover for the Client Relations Team by handling telephone queries when needed.
  • Take responsibility for special projects as assigned by the Paraplanning Manager or Directors.

Requirements

Experience

  • Broad knowledge of financial planning and paraplanning processes.
  • Experience in a financial services role, ideally within paraplanning.
  • Familiarity with industry software and office systems.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning desirable; part-qualified candidates considered with development support.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Word and Excel.
