Junior Acoustic EngineerOverview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Acoustic Engineer to join our dynamic team. Based in Hertfordshire, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, including data centres, tunnel ventilation systems, and architectural developments.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Acoustic Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating on noise control projects, including the design and implementation of attenuation systems, acoustic enclosures, and louvres.
  • Conducting acoustic surveys, modelling, and reporting to support project development.
  • Assisting in the design and specification of noise control solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Contributing to tenders and bid proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A strong understanding of noise control principles and acoustic design.
  • Proficiency in acoustic modelling software and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will include:

  • Conducting site visits to perform acoustic surveys and gather data.
  • Developing acoustic models and analysing results to inform design decisions.
  • Preparing detailed reports and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Supporting senior engineers in the preparation of tenders and proposals.
