SEND Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Mainstream Schools)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for students within mainstream schools.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role:

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities in line with EHCPs and individual needs
Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural development
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviourThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)What We Offer:
