Job description: A law firm in Manchester city centre is seeking an Employment Solicitor (NQ-2years PQE) to join their team.
The successful candidate will be dealing with:
- Handling a caseload of Claimant employment law files of predominately individuals and policy holders cases
- Providing advice to clients around employment law matters via phone, email and letter, and face to face meetings
- Drafting ET1 claim forms and grounds of claim
- Handling disclosure and compiling documents for hearings in tribunal and county court
- Taking and drafting witness statements
- Conducting preliminary hearings and CMCs
- Advising and representing clients in settlement agreements and negotiations
- Assisting senior team members with more complex claims when required (e.g. discrimination, equal pay, whistleblowing and TUPE)
- Managing workload effectively making sure that deadlines are met and case progression is clear
- Attending court and conducting advocacy
It is essential that candidates applying for this role have previous Employment Law experience. Candidates will be considered from either a Claimant or Respondent background.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000K plus benefits DOE
Hours per Week: 37.5
