Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organised Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to support our financial controller and ensure the efficient operation of our office. This dual-responsibility role offers a diverse range of tasks, from managing daily financial transactions to providing essential administrative support.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and adaptable professional with a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and a keen eye for detail. You'll be comfortable managing multiple tasks, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at using accounting software. Key Responsibilities:

* Report directly to and support the Group Financial Controller.

* Assist with audit requirements and preparations.

* Support the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external accountants as needed.

* Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

* Perform timely reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts.

* Efficiently process accounts payable and receivable.

* Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting.

* Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements (as needed).

* Assist with and support the sales order process.

* Undertake general office duties and non-finance administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.

The successful candidate will have:

* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Office Assistant, or similar role.

* A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, ideally demonstrated by Level 3 AAT qualification or strong practical experience.

* Proficiency in accounting software (Sage experience is highly desirable).

* Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.

* Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal).

* Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity.
