The Company

The business is expanding its moulding operation at the Crumpsall site. New injection moulding machines will be installed over the next year as the business increases production capacity.

This role starts with responsibility for one machine. The plan is for the successful hire to help build and lead the moulding team as new machines arrive.

The Role

You will set, run, and optimise an injection moulding machine while ensuring safe and consistent production.

Over time, you will play a key role in developing the moulding department as additional machines are installed.

Key responsibilities

Carry out tool changes, machine set-ups, and start-ups

*

Set and adjust injection moulding parameters to maintain part quality

*

Monitor cycle times, scrap levels, and production output

*

Troubleshoot processing and quality issues

*

Follow production schedules and priorities

*

Complete production records and setting sheets

*

Use SAP to confirm production, scrap, and stock movements

*

Carry out safety checks and follow site health and safety rules

*

Support tool trials and process improvements

*

Assist with basic maintenance during tool changes

*

Train operators as the team grows

*

Support the build-out of the moulding team as new machines arrive

The role requires a skilled setter able to run a machine independently while helping shape how the department grows.

Key Requirements

*

Proven experience in plastic injection moulding

*

Strong experience with tool changes and machine set-up

*

Understanding of moulding parameters and fault finding

*

Able to run and monitor production independently

*

Good understanding of health and safety standards

*

Clear written and verbal communication

*

Comfortable working early shifts

Experience with robotic part removal systems is helpful but training can be provided.
