About the Role

The school is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join the team for a maternity cover position running until March 2027. The start date is flexible, with appointments available from after the Easter holidays or from September.The role is suitable for an ECT seeking a position in a supportive Science department or an experienced Science teacher.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Delivering well‑structured, engaging lessons that support the school's curriculum
Using assessment to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback
Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
Contributing to the collaborative work of the Science department and wider school community

Ideal Candidate

UK‑qualified teacher with QTS (or working towards it)
Recent experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for high‑quality teaching
Confident classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management
Committed to safeguarding and maintaining high professional standards
