We are supporting a leading geotechnical and ground investigation business in the appointment of a Senior Engineer. This role involves leading ground investigation projects, providing technical expertise, and supporting the development of junior engineers.

• Lead and manage ground investigation projects from start to completion.

• Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to engineering staff.

• Ensure quality assurance across all site works, data collection and reporting.

• Support Health & Safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.

• Collect and interpret geological and geotechnical data.

• Produce factual, GIR and interpretative reports to high standards.

• Assist with project scheduling, tender preparation and client communication.

Knowledge:

• Ground investigation techniques, soil mechanics, geology.

• Industry specifications, standards and contract documents (ICC GI, NEC3/4).

• CDM 2015 Regulations.

Skills:

• Strong communication, organisation and leadership abilities.

• Confident decision-maker with excellent client management skills.

• High attention to quality and accuracy in reporting.

Experience:

• Background in the ground investigation industry.

• Experience running projects and managing stakeholders.

• Strong report writing skills (factual, GIR, interpretative).

Qualifications:

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.

• c. £45,000 depending on experience

• 45 hours per week
