We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a permanent opportunity on a high-profile infrastructure project at Gatwick Airport. This is an ideal role for a driven engineer with 3-4 years' post-graduate experience, looking to grow with a leading main contractor on a technically demanding, live operational site.

The Role

You'll play a key role in site engineering, supporting the delivery of critical works across structural, groundworks, and enabling packages. Working in a fast-paced, high-security environment, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying using GPS and total station instruments.

*

Reviewing drawings and specifications, ensuring technical accuracy.

*

Supporting the delivery team with logistics, ITPs, method statements, and QA processes.

*

Coordinating subcontractors and resolving on-site technical queries.

*

Ensuring compliance with health and safety and airport-specific regulations.

*

Reporting on progress, risks, and design issues to senior site management.

Ideal Candidate:

*

3-4 years' post-graduate experience in civil engineering or main contracting.

*

Strong understanding of structural elements, reinforced concrete, or enabling works.

*

Experience working on live infrastructure or airport projects is highly advantageous.

*

Skilled in using setting out instruments and interpreting technical drawings.

*

Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working in complex, live environments.

*

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related field.

*

Eligible to work in the UK and able to obtain airside security clearance.
