JDR are hiring for multiple CNC machinists for one of their clients in Newcastle under Lyme, ST5
Contract type: Permanent vacancy
Working Hours:
You can choose either Day shift or Night Shifts
Day shift - £16.50-£18.00 per hour - Dependant on experience
7:30 - 4:30, Monday to Friday. 12:30pm finish Friday
Night shift - £21.45 - £23.40 - Dependant on experience
18:00 - 4:30am, Sunday to Thursday
The Role:
- Programming, setting and monitoring of Lathe, Mills and turning CNC machines using CADCAM software
- Regularly performing quality checks on the finished products in line with the companies QMS
- Working to estimated production times
- Working within the companies H&S policy
- Ensuring the work areas are organised and tidy.
- Ensuring tooling is returned to the tool stores.
- Ensuring material is returned to the material stores.
What we're looking for:
- An experienced CNC setter, who has experience working through the full CNC lifecycle, including programming, setting and operating.
- Programming experience with Heidenhein, Mazatrol or Siemens controls would be a benefit, as would any experience with CADCAM software
- Someone who has an eye for detail and can quality check finished products.
- A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
