The Role We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Fabric Technician to support the maintenance and enhancement of our estate. This role is ideal for someone with a strong carpentry background who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality reactive and planned fabric maintenance
- Conducting fire door inspections and other PPMs
- Collaborating with contractors and in-house engineers
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Maintaining accurate records via our CAFM system
This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of a major London campus.

About You Essential:
- Carpentry qualification and proven experience in fabric maintenance
- Strong knowledge of building services and maintenance practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident using digital tools (iPad, CAFM systems, Microsoft Office)
- A team player with a flexible, problem-solving mindset
Desirable:
- IOSH Managing Safely certification
- City & Guilds/apprenticeship in a relevant trade
- First Aid qualification
