Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Are you passionate about education and looking to make a real difference in a vibrant Key Stage 2 classroom? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive teaching assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Cheshunt from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, forward-thinking school environment that values the growth and development of every child. As a KS2 teaching assistant, your role will focus on supporting pupils through small group interventions, delivering targeted booster sessions in English and Maths, and providing one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key responsibilities
• Deliver focused booster and intervention sessions to help raise attainment
• Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, adapting resources and strategies where necessary
• Assist in the preparation of classroom activities and learning materials
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
• Contribute to the positive, inclusive ethos of the school

Requirements
• Experience supporting KS2 pupils, particularly in literacy and numeracy
• A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum
• SEN experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to learning support
