An established British engineering business, recognised globally for its role in safeguarding lives in aerospace, is seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to join its inspection team in Uxbridge. This is an opportunity to contribute to world-class manufacturing that directly supports the safety of pilots and aircrew.

The Role

Working within the inspection department on a rotating early and late shift pattern, the CMM Inspector will carry out product verification for parts and components. Responsibilities will include:

Performing inspection and testing using a variety of processes, techniques, and tools

Producing and maintaining accurate inspection documentation

Recording work in progress and component location using SAP

Tracking the movement of component batches through the manufacturing process

Documenting and reporting all non-conforming products

Skills & Experience

Proven inspection experience, ideally within manufacturing or engineering

Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, with a working knowledge of GD&T

Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and equipment, including CMM operation

Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office) and experience with SAP

A sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
