Job Title: Backlog Housing Solutions Officer

Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid - 2 days in office per week, reducing to 1 day)
Contract: 6-month temporary assignment

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Housing Solutions Officer to support the management and reduction of housing application backlogs within Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work closely with the Housing Options team to assess applications, provide advice on housing solutions, and ensure compliance with statutory duties under the Housing Act.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and process housing applications using Locata.

* Assess homelessness cases and provide tailored housing advice.

* Liaise with internal teams, landlords, and external agencies to secure accommodation options.

* Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates on case progress.

* Contribute to reducing backlog and improving service delivery standards.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Housing Solutions or Housing Options Officer.

* Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing law.

* Proficiency in Locata system is Desired

* Excellent communication and case management skills.

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
