Resident Mechanical Engineer

Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Resident Mechanical Engineer to work for a leading Facilities Management client based in Edmonton.

ROLE: Resident Mechanical Engineer

PAY RATE: £21/hour via PAYE

JOB TYPE: 12 weeks Temporary to Permanent

LOCATION: Edmonton

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled Resident Mechanical Engineer to join the team at Medical Facility in Edmonton. This role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of essential mechanical systems across the hospital site, ensuring smooth and safe operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct maintenance and servicing of Air Handling Units (AHU) and Fan Coil Units (FCU)
Inspect and maintain calorifiers and Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
Carry out boiler maintenance and checks in compliance with L8 regulations
Manage drainage issues, including unblocking toilets and waste pipes
Diagnose and repair leaks efficiently
Provide on-call support once fully familiar with the site and operations

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience with AHU, FCU, boiler systems, TMVs, and drainage maintenance
Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance needs on site
