Do you have a passion for early years education and the enthusiasm to support young learners at the very start of their school journey? A warm and inclusive primary school in the heart of Levenshulme is looking for a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a part-time basis. This is a permanent 3 day per week position which will begin in September.

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider Early Years team to support the day-to-day running of the nursery classroom. You will help create a stimulating and nurturing setting where every child feels valued, safe, and excited to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Work with individual children and small groups to promote development in key areas such as language, social skills, and early literacy/numeracy
Help set up and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors
Observe and record children's progress and contribute to learning journals
Support children with personal care and hygiene as required
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment for all pupilsPerson Specification

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or Level 3 Early Years/Education equivalent)
Experience working in an Early Years or Nursery setting
A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
