Household Account Handler

We are seeking a dedicated Household Account Handler to join our Personal Lines Insurance - Household department. This client-facing role involves servicing and handling a variety of insurance policies for both existing and prospective clients. The successful candidate will manage policies including High Net Worth, private home (contents and buildings), Boats, Pets, Holiday Homes, and Personal Accident insurance.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Engage with clients, guiding them through our sales process and providing exceptional service.
  • Research and provide new insurance quotations tailored to client needs.
  • Reach out to former clients and previous enquirers to offer competitive quotations at the time of renewal.
  • Manage the renewal book, ensuring the timely renewal of policies and processing associated tasks.
  • Collect payments and arrange finance schemes where necessary.
  • Maintain a well-managed diary system to keep track of client interactions and follow-ups.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Line Manager that are in line with the nature of the position.

Ideal Account Handler Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the suite of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Understanding of the principles of insurance broking.
  • Familiarity with the Data Protection Act, FCA Protocols, and GDPR.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain organized records.
  • Training will be provided to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our products and services.

This role is fully office based at the company’s offices in Bromley. Hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm.

The company are open to bringing in either a graduate looking for an entry level position, or someone with strong household experience at the higher end of the salary.
