An amazing Primary School in Eastleigh is seeking a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting children with their learning, with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
• Able to support teaching and learning within the classroom
• Skilled or keen to develop skills in supporting literacy and numeracy interventions
• Patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confident working with individuals, small groups, and occasionally whole-class support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support in literacy (reading, phonics, writing) and numeracy
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils who may need additional encouragement or guidance
• Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment
• Contribute to pupil progress tracking and feedback

• Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication skills
