SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Barnet)

Location: Barnet
Salary: £85-£110 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-time
Start: ASAP/JAN 2026

We are seeking a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Barnet. You will support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and learning delays.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support

*

Follow EHCP targets and assist with individual learning plans

*

Use strategies such as visual supports, sensory activities, PECS/Makaton (if trained)

*

Support behaviour regulation and promote independence

*

Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

Requirements:

*

Experience supporting children with SEN (school or care setting)

*

Understanding of ASD/ADHD or SEMH needs

*

Patient, calm, and reliable approach

*

Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
