My client is looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Category Buyer to support the purchasing function and help drive a resilient and reliable supply chain. The right candidate will be organised, adaptable, and confident building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage supplier relationships with a professional and consistent approach.

Communicate supply issues affecting category spend with relevant departments and escalate where required.

Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules.

Create and maintain material master data and supplier drawing workflows.

Handle general procurement administration and departmental housekeeping.

Manage CAPEX for company assets.

Act as a key point of contact for resolving pricing, quality, delivery, and invoice issues.

Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Contribute to the evaluation of supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery).

Maintain and create management information systems (MIS).

High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities.

Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Proactive, methodical, and resilient under pressure.

Strong team player.
