Senior Airfreight Operations Coordinator

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE + Benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (Hybrid working available after probation)

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end airfreight operations, including exports, imports, and cross-trade shipments.

*

Handle quotations, invoicing, documentation, and shipment monitoring (GRN, pre/post-flights).

*

Execute export customs clearances using Descartes (training provided).

*

Collaborate within a multimodal team of 8-10 professionals.

*

Report directly to the Operations Manager.

*

The Ideal Candidate

*

Minimum 5 years' experience in air export, import, and cross-trade operations.

*

Strong network and knowledge within the UK airfreight industry, including hauliers, airlines, and GSAs.

*

Comprehensive understanding of air export/import processes from start to finish.

*

Currently employed by a global freight forwarder.

*

Dangerous Goods (DG) certification (valid or willingness to obtain upon joining).

Competitive salary up to £38,000, depending on experience.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Pension scheme with employer contributions increasing to 8% over the next two years (currently at 5%).

Hybrid working option: up to 2 days per week from home after successful probation, subject to agreement with line manager
