Painter & Decorator - Commercial (Permanent Role)

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 + overtime

Premier Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction company who have a strong pipeline of secured work across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring an experienced Commercial Painter & Decorator into their delivery team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering high-profile commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects within live environments including airports, railway stations and commercial premises.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating works across a variety of commercial sites. Projects are often within occupied buildings, so attention to detail, professionalism and strong preparation skills are essential.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out all aspects of commercial painting and decorating to a high standard
• Full surface preparation including sanding, filling, stripping and making good
• Patch plastering and preparing surfaces to a client-facing finish
• Application of paints using brush, roller and spray techniques
• Hanging wall coverings including vinyl and specialist finishes
• Working to paint schedules and specifications independently
• Protecting surrounding areas and managing dust and waste effectively
• Working alongside other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
• Operating safely within live and access-controlled environments

About You

• Proven background in commercial painting and decorating
• Strong preparation skills with a keen eye for detail
• Experience working in live environments is highly desirable
• Confident working from specifications and colour schedules
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights where required
• CSCS card essential
• PASMA or IPAF beneficial
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Own tools required
