Shift Pattern: Continental - 7:00am to 7:00pm / 7:00pm to 7:00am

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer to join a high-profile corporate and critical building in King's Cross.

The site is a modern 10-floor commercial property incorporating corporate office space alongside critical laboratory environments supporting NHS testing operations. This is a technically engaging role within a structured and well-supported shift team.

You will work as part of a 2-person shift team (Shift Leader & Shift Engineer), with 4 full shift teams operating onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Operating and maintaining HVAC, power distribution, lighting and critical plant systems.
• Supporting the safe operation of lab environments within a corporate/critical setting.
• Completing compliance paperwork, permits to work, and maintaining accurate site records.
• Responding quickly and effectively to plant failures and system faults.
• Assisting the Shift Leader in maintaining high technical and safety standards onsite.

Shift Details:

• Continental shift pattern (Days & Nights)
• 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am
• Rotation includes 4s, 3s and 6s
• 20 shift days annual leave

Ideal Candidate:

• Electrically or mechanically qualified (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience within corporate, critical, or commercial building environments.
• Strong understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Comfortable working continental days & nights.
• Professional, reliable and confident working within a small shift team.
