The Role:

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee, optimise, and strategically lead the catering performance across a portfolio of Primary and Secondary school contracts in your region. You'll be the visionary driving operational excellence, ensuring a profitable and innovative food service that consistently exceeds client expectations.

This pivotal role requires a leader who can balance superior culinary creativity with rigorous financial management.

The Role Details:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week,

  • Weeks: 52 weeks per year.

  • Compensation: Highly Competitive Salary + Car Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

As the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the full spectrum of operational, commercial, and culinary performance within your region.

  • Culinary Innovation & Commercial Acumen: Develop engaging food offers and marketing initiatives that are on-trend, innovative, and demonstrably profitable. Ensure our food offering drives sales and secures the retention of existing business.

  • Talent Leadership: Act as an inspirational role model. Lead, develop, coach, and provide outstanding support and guidance to all chefs and catering teams within your area, fostering a positive, motivating, and high-performing culture.

  • Service Excellence: Ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for all customers. Establish clear accountability for addressing and resolving any issues quickly and effectively.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with all Company & Client policies, site rules, and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, fire, and COSHH.

Ideal Candidate:

You are a natural, positive leader currently excelling in a senior culinary or development-focused role. You combine strong analytical capabilities with exceptional people skills.

  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in business finance, including managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability.

  • Demonstrate genuine creativity and flair in food development. Possess a passion for the industry and stay current with all trends, innovations, and developments.

  • Extensive experience operating within a compliance-led environment, with a deep understanding of the importance of adhering to stringent policies and procedures.

  • A natural team-builder and motivator with exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence.
