We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer to join our busy social housing client in St Helens, supporting their Neighbourhoods team on a maternity cover contract until the end of July.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a busy patch of general needs properties, ensuring safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods
• Support tenants with tenancy sustainment, including signposting to relevant services
• Handle low-medium level ASB cases, conducting investigations and working with partner agencies
• Carry out estate inspections, identify improvements and ensure timely follow-up
• Manage breaches of tenancy, prepare documentation including NOSP to serve when required, and liaise with legal teams
• Build strong relationships with tenants, community partners and internal colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
• Respond promptly to enquiries, complaints and safeguarding concerns

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Housing Officer/Neighbourhood Officer role within a social housing environment
• Strong understanding of tenancy management, housing legislation and ASB processes
• Experience of handling ASB cases, breaches of tenancy and safeguarding
• Ability to travel across the St Helens area as needed
