Electrician - Solar Energy Startup

Dalston, London £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + performance bonus

A rapidly scaling company is seeking an Electrician to play a key role in delivering high-quality solar installations. This is the first technical electrician hire and a foundational addition to the team as the company builds out its in-house capability.

Package:

• Salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + £5k performance bonus + travel costs + van + tools included

Duties:

• Conduct customer site visits and surveys to assess requirements and develop solar system proposals

• Lead the installation of solar PV and battery systems across residential and commercial properties

• Source and procure solar equipment, working with suppliers to negotiate the best terms

• Design and implement scalable operations to support rapid business growth

• Identify product and technology needs to improve installation quality and customer experience

• Provide post-installation technical support, including remote monitoring and fault resolution

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery operations across all areas

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

• Experience working on residential and/or commercial rooftops

• Familiarity with solar PV and battery storage systems

• Confident using digital tools, apps, and monitoring platforms

Preferred (Not Essential)

• G99/G100 grid application experience

• ECS/JIB Gold Card

• Experience with smart inverters and energy monitoring technology
