Shift Maintenance Engineer - Heavy Plant & Material Handling Equipment

Salary: £38,528 basic + £9,632 shift allowance (Total £48,160) + Overtime + Benefits

The Role:
You'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of heavy plant and material handling equipment across a busy terminal site. The role involves working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, performing diagnostics, and ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. This is a site-based position following a fixed three-week shift pattern.

About You:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering

Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of heavy plant, forklifts, cranes, or similar equipment

Skilled in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and CANBUS systems

Confident in reading wiring diagrams and carrying out fault-finding tasks

Based within one hour of Belfast Container Terminal

Comfortable working at height and in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
