Are you a Transport Planner looking for a brand new exciting opportunity? Do you have experience working in development planning? Do you want to work for an independent award-winning engineering consultancy?

I am pleased to announce we are looking for an Assistant Transport Planner to join our client's growing Highways & Transport team in Central London. As a consultancy, they have a highly respected reputation for providing world-class sustainable solutions across the built environment.

You will be contributing to the design of transport planning, transport strategies and road safety audits. As an Assistant Transport Planner, you will be working alongside senior staff members across a number of sectors including education, health, commercial, residential, leisure, regeneration and master planning, within the UK and internationally.

You will be responsible for

  • Drafting Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
  • Analysing travel patterns using Census data
  • Developing public transport strategies
  • Conducting junction capacity analysis
  • Using TRICS database
  • Road collision data analysis
  • Parking layouts
  • The wider planning systems


Ideal candidate

  • Relevant degree (e.g. Transport Planning, Civil Engineering)
  • Experience in development planning
  • Experience in AutoCAD, AutoTrack, Junction 10 (Arcady & Picady)
  • A basic understanding of highway layouts and design, and Census data.
