Behaviour Support Manager - Basingstoke, HampshireFull-Time | Permanent Role | September StartActual Salary: £27,711 - £30,060 per annum (Term-Time Only)

Academics are working with a specialist SEMH secondary school in Basingstoke to appoint a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Manager to join their committed support team from September. This is a full-time, term-time position (39 weeks/year, 42.5 hours/week).

This forward-thinking school supports pupils aged 10-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional complexities such as Autism. Class sizes are kept small to ensure students' emotional and academic needs are met on an individual basis.

As Behaviour Support Manager, you'll play a key role in managing and supporting positive behaviour strategies across the school. You'll work closely with the Behaviour Team Leader to implement intervention programmes and maintain effective communication throughout the school community.

We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, able to sensitively and professionally support young people and their families-often in emotionally challenging situations. Your role will also involve setting boundaries, promoting consistency, and acting as a positive role model to help pupils regulate and improve behaviour.

What we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience working with children/young people with behavioural challenges
  • Knowledge of behavioural interventions, positive/negative reinforcement strategies
  • A confident communicator with empathy and resilience
  • Must be a car driver
  • Classroom experience essential
  • Behaviour management or de-escalation training desirable

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact in the lives of young people within a caring and well-resourced SEMH school environment.
