Foreman with Groundworks Experience Needed in Wolverhampton

Our client a growing construction company in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced foreman to oversee our groundworks operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled laborers, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and schedule the work of laborers, operators, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency and productivity

- Inspect work in progress and completed groundworks to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements

- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that arise, proposing solutions to keep projects on track

- Maintain detailed records of project progress, labor, and equipment usage

- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor in groundworks/site preparation

- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, and other common groundworks techniques

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications

- Proficient in using equipment like backhoes, excavators, compactors, and other heavy machinery

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
